Math
Things are progressing in math. We are just finishing up our unit on place value, ways of writing numbers, counting money and rounding. Our first flexible grouping is coming up and we will be grouping students to reinforce the rounding of numbers.
Reading
Please keep the reading up. Remember that for homework each school night, students need to read 20 minutes. Be sure to initial the boxes on the homework packet for each day your child reads. I've told the students that they need to take a pencil and their homework packet to you for the initial rather than a parent chase them down. Hopefully they are being responsible and doing this.
