As many of you are already aware, the silent auction basket for our classroom follows the theme of "Things we use when we go camping and fishing." Keep the items coming in. We already have some fixin's for s'mores.
radKids
We will be continuing with our third session of radKids this week (AM class on Thursday and PM Class on Friday). Our parent volunteers are doing a great job in helping the students to learn safety strategies. I think the training your children are receiving is invaluable. Please remind your child to wear closed-toe shoes on their radKids day so they won't have to sit out of the activities.
Book Orders
This week I'll be sending home the first of the monthly Scholastic book orders. You can have your child return the book order forms with a check as you have done in the past or — new this year — you now have the added option of placing your monthly book orders online!
Either way you'll get the same book club selections. As an added benefit of ordering online, our class earns a FREE book for our class library every time an online order is made.
Here’s how it works:
- Use the link below to access the Scholastic Book Clubs website. Use our class's personalized user name and password in the sign-in fields on the right side of the page (you do not need to create your own).
- Browse the titles with your child and place your order with your credit card.
- Your order will come to our class, and your credit card payment will go directly to Scholastic’s secure server. There’s no need to send money to school.
- After I submit the entire class order to Scholastic, your order will be delivered to our classroom for your child to take home.
