Christmas is a Comin'

This week we're finishing up our Utah Bird project. The Utah Bird project has helped us integrate the language arts and math curriculum. We collected bird data that we have graphed and created reports for resident and migrating birds of Utah. When you get a chance, you'll have to come and see what we've done. The work is hanging in the hallway.

If you haven't heard yet, we grew borax crystals for our November 'On-the-Ball' party. You may see them hanging on a Christmas tree near you.

Since it will be a couple of weeks before we return to school, I'm asking that homework to be turned in Friday of this week. In that way you wont have to let it hang over the winter Holiday break. If your child reads Friday before school, go ahead and record it on the homework score sheet and I'll count it as bonus points.

Tomorrow I'll be sending home a blue paper explaining the accelerated Learning Lab (A.L.L) Programs Alpine School District offers. If you are interested in getting you child enrolled in ALL make sure to schedule a testing date listed on the paper.

Also, Friday will be a common day. All students (AM and PM groups) will arrive at school at 8:00 and depart for home at 2:15.

We'll be having our Winter Holiday class party for the AM & PM classes on Friday. The times for the parties will be 10:00-10:55 and 1:15-2:15 respectively.

Have a great break and I'll see everyone on the flip side of the new year.
