No Homework this week
Because of Fall Break — no school Thursday or Friday — I won't be sending home a homework packet this week. We'll continue with homework packets again on 18 October 2010.
Spelling this week
With everything that was happening last week (i.e. parent-teacher conferences and field trip) I wasn't able to give the proper support for spelling words. I'll use this week as an extension for last week's words. In that way I'll be able to meet with spelling groups on Tuesday and then give the spelling test on Wednesday.
Online Math Activities
At our classroom website you will find a list of online math activities. This list continues to grow as time goes on, so come back often. I've tried to include those activities that directly address the Utah State 4th grade core math standards.
Contests
Every once in a while I come across contests that 4th graders can enter. I've created a blog that you can access here. Feel free to have your child enter the contests that interest them.
